Name Your Document Straight Away
RWorks operates by looking at your title bar. So, when you start working on a task, you need to NAME IT straight away. Keep the name of the document as close to the name of the Assigned Task as you can.
See if your Activity Has Auto-Matched
• Start working on the document, and after a short time, click on the RWorks logo down in the tray of your desktop. To see your Assigned Tasks, click on 'Assigned Tasks'. Your Task will be listed there, along with whether RWorks has automatically matched your activity with that task. • If RWorks has auto-matched it, there will be a check in the 'Matched' column. You can then just continue working on your Assigned Task as normal, and time will be tracked against that Task.
You may need to bring down the Matching Threshold
If auto-matching has not occurred, you can do one of 2 things:
1. You can bring down the matching threshold . To do this, click on the RWorks icon in your tray. Click on 'Tools' in the top bar, and then on 'Options'. The threshold has a range from 0 to 100. The default setting is 70. However, you will find that RWorks becomes more sensitive below this, often somewhere in the 60's works best.
Manual Matching is Quick and Easy
2. If your activity cannot auto-match, you can match it manually. This is a quick and easy process. Click on the RWorks icon in the tray, click on the specific Task on the Desktop application, and click 'Match Activities'. You can them simply add a check in the tracking box opposite the Activity. If other activities are checked, you should uncheck them. Then return to your activity as normal.
